The Public Works Department (PWD) is to switch over to bitumen macadam and bitumen concrete (BM & BC) in 80 per cent of road works in the State as they will last longer and provide better riding comfort to motorists. A three-year guarantee had been made mandatory for the works executed using the BM & BC.
